$1 million bond for Marlow man accused of sexually abusing a child
A child pornography investigation took an even darker turn that led to a Marlow man being held on $1 million bond for sexually abusing a child.
Matthew Willoughby Hale, 39, made his initial appearance Tuesday in Stephens County District Court where he was charged with felony counts of child sexual abuse and forcible sodomy, records indicate. He faces up to life in prison if convicted.
According to the court affidavit, Investigators executed a search warrant of Hale’s home in Marlow in May 2017 regarding the distribution and possession of child pornography. Sixth District Attorney’s Chief Investigator Justin Scott said electronic devices including a computer hard drive were seized and sent to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation for forensic examination.
